Volunteer at PyCascades

PyCascades is a volunteer-run conference. Without folks like you we would not be able to put on the event. We will be looking to fill a number of roles, please read the brief descriptions below and if you are interested fill out the volunteer sign up sheet.

The conference will be held in the Pacific timezone and require attending a training session prior to the conference weekend. Email us if you have further questions.

We are also looking for a web admin that would help us run this website!

Chat Moderator: Responsible for monitoring text and video chat rooms to make sure everyone has a safe conference. We are also encouraging moderators to encourage people to engage in conversation. (Time commitment: 1-4 hours flexible)

Q/A Moderator: Responsible for monitoring live chat on the main stage to gather questions asked by attendees watching to pass onto the Session Chair. (Time commitment: 2 hours)

Session Chair: Responsible for introducing speakers and breaks as well as asking speakers questions gathered by the Q/A Moderator live. (Time commitment: 2 hours, video and public speaking required)

Green Room: On-call role for helping speakers and attendees troubleshoot video and audio issues. (Time commitment: 2-4 hours on-call)
